2.2”; 1.50” Width; Black 6 Bolt Wheel Pair

5 Stars

Product Description

Crawler Innovations is happy to bring another new product to the RC Crawling market. The 6 Bolt Performance Wheel is a glue on wheel with a 2.2" bead size, is 1.50" wide, and is designed to be used with Vanquish Products SLW hubs. The Axial Trail Ready plastic hubs also fit these wheels for the weight conscious comp crawler. 12 Stainless Steel Button Head hardware included. The is the lightest weight 2.2 competition wheel / rim on the market. These wheels really shine in the U4RC genre of rc racing. The plastic combined with the aluminum hex create a basher and racer friendly combo. The plastic wheel will flex on hard impacts while the aluminum hex prevents stripping.

The 1.50" width is the factory width or standard for 2.2" rim width. The wider rim allows for the tire to be mounted as it was cast/made, not stretching or forcing the tire into a different profile. Combined with the proper foam set up, these wider wheels provide consistent control and high performance. In general, wider Vanquish Products SLW hubs are used with this rim width, such as the 600, 725, or 850 SLW hub. Since the face of the 6 bolt wheel is nearly flush, there is more back spacing on the rim. The 6 bolt was designed with the nearly flush face to prevent obstacles from catching a wide front rim lip on course.

Sold in a pair.

The 6 Bolt 1.50" Performance Wheel itself is just under 18 grams.

@ White Sands NM with the CI Monster Truck, Yeti, & Foffer (03:43)
In search of new challenges and fresh terrain, Crawler Innovations hit the road during the summer of 2015. One of our stops was White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. White Sands National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located about 16 miles southwest of Alamogordo in western Otero County and northeastern Doña Ana County in the state of New Mexico, at an elevation of 4,235 feet. CI had an amazing time at the park and this video was filmed there. Link to the White Sands website: https://www.nps.gov/whsa/index.htm This particular video features only three different Crawler Innovations vehicles. Up first is the CI AR60 based Monster truck. Here is a build thread for the vehicle: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-wraith/509895-crawler-innovations-ar60-monster-truck-basher-test-rig.html Next is an Axial Yeti with open front diff. It's build thread is here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-yeti/547506-crawler-innovations-yeti-1-yeti-2-a.html The final vehicle in the video is the CI Foffer and it's the last video of this truck in that form. After the trip the truck was completely disassembled and an all new car is being built to replace it. The build thread for the CI Foffer is here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/formula-offroad/398046-crawler-innovations-water-skippin-foffer-build.html All three vehicles in the video are using Crawler Innovations 6 Bolt Wheels in the 1.50" Width using Vanquish Products SLW aluminum hubs. The video shows how durable the plastic wheels are. CWR-5004 is the part # for the wheels. All three vehicles are using Crawler Innovations foams. The Monster Truck is using 6.0 Double Deuce, the yeti is using Deuce's Wild 2.2 Tall, and the Foffer is using a soon to be released new Deuce's Wild size. Gavin produced this video for the channel. 1. Great and light weight 5 Star Review

Posted by on Dec 11th 2017

I like using these on my wraith with .225 hubs to give a narrow width to give some more room to get through gates. And the light weight over a bead lock wheel takes weight off the drive line and overall weight of the vehicle.

  2. Absolutely perfect for what I need 5 Star Review

    Kudos to the designer!!!

I keep burning through plastic hubs due to running my Yeti on 3s power and I really like the simplicity of glued on tires... So I'm super happy with these wheels. I pop on metal hubs, glue my tires on and I'm back to bashing. The cost is perfect too.

It would be cool if they made an even wider wheel to fit 2.8 tires. I'd buy them too.
