Product Description
Crawler Innovations was the first to combine closed cell and open cell foam into one package with our Double Deuce and Lil’ Nova product lines. After we'd perfected those systems, we turned our attention towards the faster paced rock racer, heavy scalers, and basher genres. The Deuce's Wild Foam line was created. Using only the firm inner material, while focusing on the machined size and shape of the foam.
CWR-3005 was designed for use in the Pitbull Tires 1.9 Growler Tire (PB9006NK) but will fit many other brands of tires as long as they are similiar in height and width. Examples are the Pro-Line TSL SX XL, RC4WD MT BC TTC, JConcepts Scorpio, and tires of similar height and width.
These foams are much firmer than anything available on the market. They do not fold over under load whether it's high speed, heavy weight, or simply turning. These foams rely on a small air gap between the foam and tire. This loose area allows for the tire to obtain traction, while the foam supports the tire.
Approximate size: 4.25" Height x 1.50" Width (Remember that foam goes inside the tire and one must subtract lug and carcass thickness, plus any reinforcing from the overall tire height.)

Huge difference vs stock

I'm new to the hobby of RC only 5 months but love it. Ordered a set of foams for the tsl xl I had bought because just as so many had said, the stock foams where way to big and where like riding on bricks especially when cold. I installed the new closed cell foams that took a matter of minutes, and the performance was immediately noticeable. Love that they are water proof and so easy to seat in the rims. They have just enough to let the tire flex and comform yet keep it fully supported. I've never run any other type of foam beside stock, but definitely very happy with these.

I put these on my vaterra ascender with the new 1.9 Proline Baja T/A KR2. They work great! I noticed an immediate improvement climbing up rocks. I feel it gives the tire a more realistic look for a tire conforming to rocks or obstacles and it's closed cell foam holds the sidewalls shape great! And currently I'm running my setup non vented and I'm happy with the setup. But should I want to vent, I have no worries for going in the water because of the closed cell foam. Win win for me.

The foams worked perfect as expected. Customer service was a different story.
