Double Deuce 2.9” Heavy Weight Comp Cut Inner / Firm Outer + Tuning Ring

Crawler Innovations was the first to combine closed cell and open cell foam into one package. The Double Deuce Foams have been around since the beginning and are made from the best compounds available. The Heavy Weight product line is for heavy rc crawlers and speed applications. They provide superior side hill support and improved steering response.

These dual stage inserts feature a Competition Cut, ultra dense closed cell inner foam, with a Firm conventional or open cell density outer foam. The heavy weight closed cell inner foam is ultra dense, water proof, is not temperature sensitive and is extremely durable. The conventional outer foam is not temperature sensitive, but it is not water proof. Tuning Rings are included with all 2.9" Double Deuce dual stage foams.

The "Comp Cut" inner has three grooves machined into the area where the outer and inner meet. The machined grooves allow for the outer foam to collapse into them resulting in a much more responsive tire. 

The inner foam width is 1.750" and is machined for the 1.625" width SCX6 bead lock wheels.

The outer foam width is 2.250" when cut, but once stretched over this SCX6 inner, it looses .500" in size.

This is version 1 of SCX6 foams from Crawler Innovations. We are currently re-machining existing inventory to fit the SCX6 bead lock. Crawler Innovations is testing the market to see if the customer demand will justify new product designs. As of the posting of this description, roughly 7 tires are available for the SCX6. Crawler Innovations has three possible tire foam inserts for these. One 2.9 Double Deuce, and Two 2.9 Deuce's Wild. If you are straight rock crawling, the CWR-1603 Double Deuce work best. These are only offered with a Firm Outer due to the heavy weight of the SCX6. If you are trail riding, running in the water, riding on your SCX6, pulling giant loads with your SCX6, the Deuce's Wild versions are better suited. CWR-3206 is shorter in height and does not stretch the Axial tire, leaving a slight air gap between the tire foam insert and the tire so the tire will conform. CWR-3207 is taller and will stretch the tire, leaving no air gap. If you are riding on your scx6, or pulling very heavy loads, CWR-3207 is for you.
